Where is Lala Camp located?
Lala Camp is nestled in a private area of the Serengeti National Park, offering a remote, intimate, and immersive safari experience in one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife regions.
What type of accommodation is available at Lala Camp?
We offer five types of luxury tented accommodation:
- Double Tents – Ideal for couples
- Twin Tents – Perfect for friends or colleagues
- Triple Tents – Great for small groups or families
- Single Tents – Cozy and private for solo adventurers
- Family Quads – Spacious enough for families of four
Each tent features en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, and elegant safari-style decor.
Is it safe to stay in a tented camp in the Serengeti?
Absolutely. Our camp is secure and staffed with trained personnel, including Maasai guards who monitor the area. Tents are designed to keep wildlife out, and guests are briefed on camp safety upon arrival.
Is there electricity in the tents?
Yes, solar-powered electricity is available in all tents. You can charge phones and small devices.
Do the tents have private bathrooms?
Yes. Each tent includes a private en-suite bathroom with flushing toilets, hot bucket showers, and running water.
Food and Drinks
What kind of meals are served at Lala Camp?
We offer a gourmet full-board dining experience. Meals are freshly prepared using local and seasonal ingredients and include international dishes with African flair. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.
Are drinks included?
Drinks are available at the bar. Some packages include soft drinks, wine, and local beer. Premium wines and spirits are available at an additional cost.
Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes, please inform us in advance of any allergies or dietary needs, and our chefs will gladly prepare suitable meals.
Safari and Activities
What safari activities are offered at Lala Camp?

What wildlife can I expect to see?
Depending on the season, guests may see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and countless bird species – all right from the camp or during game drives.
Are safaris private or shared?
Both options are available. Private game drives can be arranged upon request for an additional fee.
When is the best time to visit the Serengeti?
The Serengeti offers year-round wildlife experiences.
- June–October: Dry season and peak wildlife viewing
- November–March: Lush landscapes and calving season
- April–May: Rainy season with fewer crowds and beautiful scenery

What should I pack for my stay?
- Neutral-colored clothing
- Lightweight layers (it gets chilly in the mornings and evenings)

Is laundry service available?
Yes, a same-day laundry service is available at camp, weather permitting.
Is Wi-Fi available?
There is limited Wi-Fi available in the lounge area. We encourage guests to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings.
Camp Experience
Will I hear animals at night?
Yes! That’s part of the magic of staying in the Serengeti. You might hear lions roaring, hyenas calling, or elephants passing by – all from the safety of your luxurious tent.
Can children stay at the camp?
Yes, we welcome families. However, due to the wild nature of the environment, we recommend children aged 6 and up. Family tents are available.
Is tipping expected?
Tipping is not mandatory but is greatly appreciated. If you wish to tip, we suggest:
- USD 10–15 per day for guides
- USD 5–10 per day for general staff
Tips can be left in the designated box or given personally.

Is the camp eco-friendly?
Yes. Lala Camp operates with a deep respect for nature. We use solar power, reduce waste, and source food locally. We also employ local staff and support community initiatives.
